See what our parents are saying!

“Art has taught all three of our children. Each learned a different instrument - voice, drums, and guitar. This is one of Art's strongest assets; he is knowledgeable on a wide range of instruments. Our children have had an extremely positive experience and progressed further with Art than with previous music teachers. Hands down the attribute they enjoy most about Art is how much fun they have together during lessons. There were times when my boys wanted to quit playing their instruments and were open with Art about how they were feeling. I consider Art the "musician whisperer" because he has an incredible way of helping my kids through the slumps and finding a renewed love for their instrument.”

“A bonus in working with Art is that he has become a bit of a life coach for my kids. He lent a listening ear and sound advice when they were struggling with life issues. I am so grateful to have him in our lives.
I highly recommend Art as a music teacher with no reservations.”

“We started Skype lessons with Art during the pandemic. He was already set up to do online lessons so it made everything really easy for us. My son started drums and Art made the lessons easy & so fun for him. I was so impressed with how quickly he was able to teach him the basics. (Much better than the YouTube tutorials we tried first). He gave our son confidence and he’s so excited for his lessons every week.”

“His recitals are really special. They’re mini concerts! Much better than your run of the mill recitals where you wish you could leave after your child performs. My oldest just started piano with him after seeing how much fun his little brother had at his recital. Art is the best & his love of all music & instruments is contagious for my kids.”

“Art has an amazing ability to connect with people of all ages helping them not only love music, but making them feel like true musicians themselves, no matter their skill level. His contagious optimism keeps lesson times exciting and upbeat, leaving students motivated to practice at home in order to keep those good times rolling. His experience in how to personalize learning for each student’s needs allows for them to learn right at their level in the best way that works for them. For a music student studying with Art, any time on an instrument is a good time!”

“Art Moore is music teacher of the century in our book! Music enriches our lives in so many ways but when you are a student, music is a sensory nugget of gold! My son went from electric guitar to drums and got to stay with Art all the way. Art set the atmosphere for upbeat fun and encouragement to stick to it. As a parent giving me the feedback I need to gage my student’s talent and progression!”

“We love Art Moore! He is an amazing person. I have 3 children that take lessons with Art (piano and guitar). We have been with him for a couple years and so I feel qualified to give him the best recommendation possible. I feel like he is not only a music teacher but a mentor for my children. He has a gift when it comes to relating to kids and seeing a broader picture of their lives and how music can enhance them. He builds their self-confidence and makes them feel really valued and cared about. He takes a personal interest in each one of them. He knows when to push hard and when to be gentle and encouraging. My kids adore him. He took my teenage boy from a kid that didn't want to practice and almost quitting to 16 year old where music is his life now and we can't get him off the piano and guitar. Art is professional, prompt, very reliable, accessible, and extremely good at communicating. Here are how my children would describe him.”

Jonathan (16): “Fun, cool and well rounded (I love that he can teach me so many instruments)”

Autumn (13): “Wise, talented, and fun”

Brookley (11): “Patient and supportive”

“As a mom that has gone through several teachers, I give him the highest recommendation possible. It is expensive to have 3 children (soon to be 4) in music. It is an investment for sure. But with Art, it is a very worthwhile investment because he helps them grow not just in music but in life.”

“I have been taking lessons with Art for several years. Art doesn’t just teach how to play the instrument, he teaches music, how to perform, how to practice effectively, and how to really enjoy the experience. His approach is always positive and encouraging, and he has helped me to steadily improve without making it feel like a grind.”
